A BRIEF HISTORY

The Frosts, a southern gospel trio based in East Tennessee, first began when double-first cousins, Michael Frost and Candie Frost, learned to harmonize with each other as children. From those humble beginnings comes a successful group who now sings and ministers to audiences nationwide.

An important part of The Frosts' ministry, according to Michael, is
their original songs.

"These are songs that allow us to share a personal message of hope with
an audience or congregation," Frost said. "We feel it is important to
let people know how God has worked in our own individual lives, and we
try to do that by singing our own material. Our songs have a message of
hope and encouragement for the Christian - and our songs also encourage
praise and worship," Frost said.

"Just like the song That's God, I often say that I can take any line
from that song and share a word of testimony about it," he added. "It's
a song that is so personal to me, yet so many people can relate to it."

The history of The Frosts goes back to the 1980s when young double-first
cousins, Michael and Candie, sang together as children. Their parents
and grandparents formed the original Frost Family, who often traveled to
churches in and around their hometown of Rogersville, Tennessee to sing
and play music. The young cousins were brought along to sing a few songs
as well. In 1991 the group became a family band, with Michael and Candie stepping out front to sing lead and harmonies. The family group gained popularity in the 90s and throughout the cousins' teenage years.

Today, The Frosts have evolved into a trio. The cousins have joined with
the talented Crystal Johnson.

In 2004, The Frosts saw their first national success with the
chart-climbing single, "Three Words, Three Nails & Three Days," which entered The Singing News Top 80 chart. This helped the group land an exclusive recording contract with legendary gospel music producer, Eddie Crook.

Since then, The Frosts have continued to travel, record, and release songs to radio. Michael has become an accomplished songwriter, with several hit songs recorded by
some of gospel music's favorite soloists & groups, such as Heirline,
Ivan Parker, HisSong, The Beene Family, The Sons Family, The Wilburns, Mercy Road, and more. Michael continues to write chart-climbing songs for other groups as well.

In 2006, Michael was cast as a member of a brand new faith-based production, The Miracle, in Pigeon Forge, TN at The Miracle Theater. He is currently signed throughout 2008.
