Michael Jason Frost

Birthday:  May 13, 1976

Place of Birth:  Rogersville, TN

Parents:  The late Reverend Bobby Frost, Robin Frost

Siblings:  None

Church:  Friendly View Missionary Baptist

Favorite Song:  Jesus Can

Artist who recorded your favorite song:  Ricky Atkinson & Compassion

Who inspired your life the most:  My parents. Dad was a preacher / pastor and my Mom sang in a gospel group with her brother and sister-in-law. Mom and Dad worked hard to make sure I was raised in a Christian home. They continuously encouraged me to pursue a singing career. They believed in me and supported me. Most importantly, they taught me about Jesus and about the importance of having faith in Him. They told me the Lord would always guide me according to His will, and I believe that.

What is your most embarrassing moment:  When I first started playing guitar, about the age of 14, we were singing in a church and during the first song, the guitar strap broke and my guitar fell clear off of me and hit the floor, making the most horrible sound you ever heard. I couldnât sing another note.

What do you like to do on your free time (Hobbies):  In my free time, Iâm usually listening to music or practicing on the fiddle. Sometimes I sit at my keyboard and write new songs. I also like to sing along to karaoke tracks (everybody likes a good love song) when Iâm at home with nothing to do. I enjoy working on the computer, bicycling and just being lazy at home!

What age did you get saved:  Six-years-old

Tell us about your experience when you got saved:  I had questioned my Dad about it (he was a preacher). He told me I would know in my heart when the time was right ÷Êand one night in 1982 I felt it was time. I bravely walked to the front of the church, and my cousin Candie went with me. We both knelt at the alter side by side and the congregation came to pray with us. The Lord saved both of us that night. We were both six years old.

Write a little word of encouragement to the fans:  Hold on to your faith. No matter how low the valley is (believe me, Iâve been there), He is there for you. Just trust in Him. Remember, we walk by faith, not by sight.

What are your goals for the future:  As long as it is the Lordâs will, I want to sing and make music. I want to write songs that mean something to someone. Most of all, I want to serve the Lord to the best of my ability. I know He will bless me for that.
